Mr and Mrs L
Mr and Mrs L, homeowners in Bridgewater, sought to replace their ageing oil-fired boiler with a cleaner, more efficient, and future‑proof heating system. Their goals were to reduce running costs, eliminate reliance on oil deliveries, and significantly cut their household carbon emissions.
After a detailed heat‑loss assessment and system design review, the decision was made to install two Midea M‑Thermal Arctic R290 10 kW air source heat pumps, providing a total capacity of 20 kW. This configuration ensured optimal efficiency, and stable performance during colder weather.
The project was supported by the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), through which Mrs L received a £7,500 grant, reducing the upfront cost of the installation.
